To install Google Remote Access, you can:
- Open Google Chrome on your computer
- In the address bar, enter remotedesktop.google.com/access
- Under "Set up Remote Access," click Download
- Follow the on-screen directions to download and install Chrome Remote Desktop
- You may need to enter your computer password to give Chrome Remote Desktop access
- You may also be prompted to change security settings in Preferences
Here are some additional things to know about Google Remote Access:
- You can use Google Remote Access to set up remote access to your Mac, Windows, or Linux computer
- The Chrome Remote Desktop service is encrypted for extra protection
- You can create a PIN of at least six digits to access the computer remotely
- The host computer will remain available for connections if it's turned on and Chrome is running
- If you want to access the computer remotely for an extended period, ensure the system will not go into hibernation mode
- You can use touch input modes for remote devices that run on Windows
